Meet Our Pastor
Reverend Charles Daniels
Reverend Charles Daniels is the senior Pastor of People's Chapel Church of God where he has pastored for 14 years. The church has been in existence for 52 years, he is the first male pastor of the congregation. He was called from York Avenue Church of God where he served faithfully under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Johnny Graham, serving in various capacities.
Reverend Daniels was licensed and ordained as a minister by the Anderson Church of God in Anderson, on September 24, 2001. He is certified as a grief, marriage, gambling, and corrective thinking counselor.
Reverend Daniels' goal is to pursue education in counseling and theology to better serve the community. His passion is to continue to help the downtrodden in situations such as gainful employment, overcoming drug and alcohol addiction, stable mental health, and to encourage a healthy family environment. He also has founded J & C House of Hope in Warren, Ohio. This is Recovery and Transitional housing.
Reverend Daniels has been married to Theresa McBride Daniels for 29 years, they have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. He has been employed at Compass Family & Community Services as a Clinical Counselor for 22 years. He was born in Warren, Ohio and graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School. He graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and received his Masters degree from Geneva Christian College in Organizational Leadership. He also attended Pittsburgh Seminary, Malone College, and Anderson University.
Reverend Daniels is a board member of the Needle's Eye Community Center in Youngstown and former board member of the Urban League of Trumbull County and the John Wean Foundation. He has also been a high school basketball referee in Trumbull County for the past 31 years.
